|Toxic Free Kids|
ESHB 1294 which would ban the sale of children’s products and residential upholstered furniture containing certain toxic chemicals has passed both the House of Representatives and the Senate. The House and Senate versions of the legislation contain differences which will need to be reconciled and passed again by both the House and Senate before submission to the Governor for signature.
Even though this legislation did not pass in the regular session, there is a slight chance that it will be considered in the special session beginning on May 13th.
The WSCC testified in support of this legislation.
