WSCC Launches Educational Program on End of Life and Assisted Suicide

Labor Day Weekend marks the official launch of the Washington State Catholic Conference’s educational program on end of life issues, including assisted suicide. Initiative 1000, which would legalize assisted suicide, is on this November’s ballot. I-1000 is contrary to Catholic teaching and places vulnerable people at risk.
The educational materials on end of life and I-1000 that have been sent to parishes or that will be made available to parishioners online include two DVDs, two brochures that accompany the videos, a set of four color posters, prayer cards, powerpoint presentations, and multiple informational handouts.
